Under Construction!

As many of you may have noticed there have been some major blogging changes. Look around and let me know what you think.

There are more to come but I have to pace myself as other spots in my life are under construction as well. Still job hunting but I have a second interview for one I really want within the next week so please keep your fingers crossed and keep me in your prayers.

Also amongst the construction, my hair has regained its natural color... See..?!
Tyler is totally loving it, ha ha.

Now as to finish the construction of the basement clean-up, and bathroom redo.
Whoop woop!

Thee Job Search.

Megan Lee Bearfield-Shinney
Syracuse, UT. 84075

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Megan and I am seeking the opportunity to join your company. I strive to help improve the lives of others. I love being the point of contact for customers and clients. I have experience in customer service, always letting the customer leave knowing that I care about their situation and that their needs have been fully addressed. It is important to me that the people whom I work with feel important and like an individual, not just another part of the job. I am detail-oriented and strongly believe in completing tasks correctly the first time, every time. I feel it is my duty to know that those around me have been taken care of and know they can rely on me to address any further concerns that may arise.
I am detail-oriented. For example, as a customer service representative, I had to review all aspects in the accounts I handled to ensure they would continue to function properly. As a result, I found other possible account issues and was able to retain several credit account customers.
I have strong customer service skills. An example of this is, as a customer service representative, it was my responsibility to assist customers in all inquiries they had regarding their accounts. As a result, I had many customers request to work with me specifically for any further questions on their account.
I am efficient with computer programs. In my previous employment, I had to work with several computer programs such as Microsoft Office, USPS programs, Internet Explorer, and other programs. As a result, I was chosen for further training courses to learn new or test new programs, and selected to assist with helping other employees.
It would be a pleasure to meet with you so that I might demonstrate how my abilities fit your needs precisely.
If you will contact me at mlshinney@hotmail.com, we can schedule an interview.
Sincerely,

Megan Lee Bearfield-Shinney

Date Night: pt. 2

This last week has been so chaotic and crazy that I hadn't taken the time to post of our recent adventure. We were planning on using our movie passes to go see Captain America, but I wasn't much in the mood of sitting in a theater. So instead, while wandering through Hobby Lobby we came across some styrofoam mannequin heads. We'd been talking for a while about how we wish we knew where we could find some to paint and such, and that it exactly what we did!

This is the before shot of my mannequin head. Tyler forgot to get one of his but reminded me before I started.

Here's Tyler painting his mannequin head.

Such a cutie!

Tyler's end result: Joker the mannequin head.
That Batman loving fruitloop of mine. :)

My end result was a sugar skull look for manne the head.

I'm very pleased with how they turned out and can't wait to start another. (sidenote: Tyler has already started another one. I have created a monster.)

And at the end of our little date night, I felt we needed a picture of us, despite how odd we looked.

Hope you enjoyed!

Carlee: God be with you 'til we meet again.

Today we had to make the tough decision of putting our poodle to sleep. She's been apart of half of my life and it was very difficult to watch her go. She had been going rapidly down hill over the last two weeks so we made an appointment to get her seen, knowing in the back of our minds what we needed to do. The vet confirmed what we thought, that she had a rapidly aggressive cancer growing throughout her and that her organs were starting to shut down. They asked us what we wanted to do and we let them know that we didn't want her to suffer anymore. They took us back to a nice room where we were able to say our goodbyes and let her go. She was such a great and loving member of the family and we will miss her so.

A friend sent me the following:

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine. Our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happily and contend, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body quivers. Suddenly they begin to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

It will be difficult to wake up knowing she is no longer here on earth with us but I am truly happy to know that I will see her again one day. And I know she is truly happy being reunited with her best friend, my grandma, so they can take naps together again. I love you Carlee. God be with you 'til we meet again.
